Serpentine Gallery – Summer Art in Hyde Park

Let me take you on a walk through Hyde Park to visit its exceptionally well curated series of summer shows outdoors and in!

The Serpentine has out done itself with a summer pavilion designed this year by Mexican architect Friday Escobedo, whose installation plays with notions of time such as the Greenwich Meridian, and the passage of the sun through the day. The Sackler gallery is exhibiting mesmerising geometric paintings by 2016 Turner Prize, Tomma Abt; and the Mastaba -a temporary sculpture floating on the Serpentine – by Christo and Jeanne-Claude (remember they wrapped up the German Reichstag in 1995) will complete our exploration.

We will meet at 9.45 am. at the beautiful Sackler Gallery café designed by Zaha Hadid, and start our visit at 10.15 am. We should be finished by midday.
