Studio visit with Taline Temizian

Taline Temizian : Coding in Art
Studio vist

It’s spring so it’s time to be a bit adventurous and go out of the usual London centre path. This time I am bringing you to an artist’ studio in Forest HIll. This exceptionally talented Armenian artist roams the world from Montreal to Brussels with group and solo shows in London, New York, Berlin, and Madrid to name just a few, having placed her work in both private and public collections, raising further interest in some of the best museums worldwide. Here she is, ready to welcome us into her main studio of 15 years and to share her artistic explorations, from coding memory systems to love, loss, memory and trauma through figuration, expressionism in paintings like Faust (Marlowe’s one not Goethe’s!). Traditional media paintings cohabit perfectly with more conceptual and new media work; who said you have to choose between the two?

Dates: Wednesday 23rd May. We’ll meet in a cafe first near the overground train station Honor Oak Park and then walk to the artist’s studio, which is just a few minutes away)
Venue: Honor Oak Park SE23
Duration: 1.45 – 2.00 hours approx.
